‘PUTRID/SHARP is an atmospheric horror/romance top-down RPG that features nonogram puzzle inspired combat.
Ode is working at a grocery store in downtown Melbourne when his co-worker, Eurydice, vanishes. Driven by a bond between them he can't yet describe, Ode finds himself traversing through a decomposing world to save him.
Meet characters grieving their own lives, cut through rotting flesh, and try to piece together what forms Ode's feverish forward momentum.’
Stages of Rot
Fresh, Bloat, Active Decay, Advanced Decay, Dry Remains.
Get intimate with the stages of rot, each their own form of warped and disgusting.
Puzzle Combat
There comes a point where it’s hard to make out what flesh is alive anymore, you’re going to need to figure out quickly through nonogram puzzle inspired combat mechanics.
On Rot, Love, and not Being Able to Look Back
PUTRID/SHARP is a linear narrative focused game, an elegy on internalized self-disgust and desire.
Project Background
Percy Harris is a game designer and illustrator with a passion for creating works about wanting to know or by known by others, having worked on a range of projects such as Who is Johnny Sixgun?, Andreas VII and Fog and Sea.
Originally conceived as a personal project, the PUTRID/SHARP team has since grown into a collaboration between a group of emerging gender-diverse creatives and game developers whose personal experiences further enrich the games story and themes of self image and identity.
PUTRID/SHARP is aproximately half-way through its development cycle having received funding for pre-production.
